Medical & Photo Consent Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This policy explains specifically how photographs and information submitted through the Free Photo Consultation tool are handled.

What this tool is — and isn't

The Free Photo Consultation tool lets you describe a concern and submit photographs for Dr. Shatnawi's personal review, free of charge. It is not a medical consultation, does not create a formal patient record, and does not replace an in-person examination. It is simply a free, informal hint offered as a courtesy — whether and how Dr. Shatnawi responds is entirely at his professional discretion.

How your submission is reviewed

Photos and information you submit are organized by an internal system to help prepare your submission for review, then reviewed personally by Dr. Shatnawi. Any reply you receive reflects his own professional judgment — no automated system communicates directly with you or provides you any assessment.

Storage and access

Submitted photos are stored securely and are not publicly accessible. Only the practice's staff involved in reviewing submissions have access to them.

Retention

Submissions are retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and, if you become a patient, to support your care. You may request deletion of your submission at any time by contacting us.

Possible future use of photos

We will never use the photos you submit through this tool for teaching, marketing, or any before/after gallery on this site without first asking you separately and obtaining your clear, specific, written consent for that particular use at that time. Simply using this tool does not, on its own, grant permission for any such future use.

Your consent

By checking the consent box and submitting photos through this tool, you confirm that you are submitting your own photos (or those of someone in your legal care), and that you understand and agree to the terms of this policy.
